Herod's Gate "Bab El-Sahera" (Map of Wall) ocated in the North part of the wall between Bab El-Amoud, Dammascus Gate and Bab El-Asbat, Lions Gate. It leads to the suberbs of Harret Hata and Harret Al-Saediah and from there to the different neighborhoods of Jerusalem. The original entrance is in the east face of the tower.It was at this point that the Crusaders first established a bridgehead on the walls at noon, July 15 1099.
