Special Issues

The Bank of Israel encourages the collection of coins and banknotes. They have issued special notes, Folders with uncut sheets of three notes, Uncut Sheets, Souvenir cards, banknotes with Special Marking and sets of notes with the same Serial Numbers. These items were originally available directly from the Bank. On January 31, 1989, they ceased selling numismatic items to the public. The marketing of special issues has since been handled by the Israel Government Coins and Medals Corp.
